Lateral drills on the beach

In our work with players frequently we make use of the beach as a setting for our fitness work. We are truly lucky to be situated close to the Castelldefels beach and take advantage of this location to the maximum. Our weekly fitness schedule usually includes two trainings on the beach.

In the beach session below our coach Sergi was working with Daniel and Viswa on their agility; more specifically, in the sets of exercises the boys were to perform sets of lateral drills consisting in rapid, lateral changes of direction as well as short directional changes.

Importantly, the periods of activity and rest during drills always simulate what is going on in a tennis match.
