Defend yourself against bullying

It has always been the main concern at our academy that through the impact of core sports values first of all we contribute to shaping good persons, and then tennis players.
This week’s online mental session has been dedicated to the social problem of bullying, which is, unfortunately, quite common in schools, but even more so in sports settings.
It is our priority as an academy to ensure that all our players can develop in a safe, secure and stress-free environment. Importantly, we wish our players to be socially sensitive, protective towards each other and responsive to all types of abuse and discrimination.
We believe that in order to tackle bullying, we need to view it as everyone's responsibility. We want our players to be aware that if they see a situation which they don’t like, both if it applies to themselves or others, they should be open about it and take a stand by talking to an adult, giving support to the victim or talking with the bullies directly.
Because change starts with people.
