JWTS Comes to Barcelona: Two International Junior Tennis Events at BTA Can Via

We are proud to announce an amazing event for junior tennis in Spain: JWTS (Junior World Tennis Series) is coming to Barcelona for the first time, and BTA Can Via has been selected as one of the official host venues for this exceptional international tennis experience.
In March 2026, two prestigious JWTS tournaments will take place back-to-back, bringing together young players, coaches, academies and families from across Europe and beyond.
Jana Novotna Cup - Mixed Team World Championships
South Europe Qualification Tournament
March 2–7, 2026
The highlight of the first week is the Jana Novotna Cup - Mixed Team World Championships, a unique team competition held in tribute to former Wimbledon Champion and outstanding mixed doubles player Jana Novotna.
Exactly 30 years after her historic WTA victory in Madrid, this special event arrives in Spain, celebrating the values she stood for: passion, humility, teamwork and love for the game.

Categories: 10&Under and 12&Under
Format: Mixed Team Event
Region: South Europe Qualification
Teams: 8–12 teams per age category
Team Composition: 2–3 boys and 2–3 girls per team
Matches: Guaranteed high number of matches per player
Coaching: Permanent on-court coaching allowed (JWTS & Davis Cup rules)
Competition Format
Each team competes in:
Boys’ Singles
Girls’ Singles
Boys’ Doubles
Girls’ Doubles
Mixed Doubles
The winning team qualifies directly for the Jana Novotna Cup World Final, while all players earn points toward the JWTS World Ranking.
This event is by invitation and open to selected tennis academies and clubs, ensuring a high competitive level and a truly international atmosphere.
JWTS Barcelona Junior Open

Following the Jana Novotna Cup, BTA Can Via will host the JWTS Barcelona Junior Open, offering individual competition across multiple age categories.
