Fitness for Mini Tennis

We divide our work with youngest players into the same components as with our older competitive players, which is tennis, fitness and mental training. The content, intensity and volume of training differ; however, it is our priority to focus on these key aspects from the early start.

There is a significant overlap between our tennis and fitness training. What we work on in tennis training is built on and enhanced in our fitness sessions.

Our fitness team makes sure to create programmes which are based on variety, thus helping to avoid mental and physical fatigue.

In the videos our fitness director Sergi Valldaura works with Nora, a 9-year-old player from China. You will see a special emphasis being put on building balance and proprioceptive skills in different shots and shot stances. Coordination and agility are another key focal point.
