BTA COACHING TEAM: FELIPE MÉNDEZ
Felipe Méndez is a tennis coach and sports manager with more than 8 years of international experience in Chile, the United States, Portugal, Spain, and China.
Holding a degree in Tourism and Hospitality Business Administration and a Master’s Degree in Sports Management from the University of Lleida, he has built a solid career combining sports management with coaching players of all levels, from beginners to international competitors.
As a player, he competed in Chile’s junior tennis categories during his formative years, achieving notable results at the national level. This experience gave him a deep understanding of the demands of athletic development and competitive performance.
Throughout his professional career, he has worked with ITF-level players and some of China’s highest-ranked tennis players, applying modern training methodologies focused on technical, tactical, physical, and mental development.
His international experience has enabled him to coach children, teenagers, and adults of different ages, nationalities, and cultural backgrounds, adapting his teaching methodology to the needs and objectives of each player. This adaptability, combined with his global perspective on sport, allows him to create motivating and effective learning environments for both recreational and competitive players.
His passion for tennis, commitment to continuous learning, and dedication to the holistic development of each player are the pillars that define his coaching philosophy both on and off the court.
